Caverion’s quality work recognised in the Excellence Finland competition
Oy Botnia Mill Service Ab, which is part of Caverion, has won the Finnish quality award. The award is a national recognition of excellence that the Finnish Quality Association grants annually through its external assessments to the most successful organisations that have reached the top level. The award was presented at a ceremony on 1 December 2016. Botnia Mill Service already participated in the competition in 2014, at which point it received the four-star Excellence Finland recognition.
The Excellence Finland competition is about finding the best organisations in the country and awarding those that have been the most successful in implementing their strategy and improving their performance. In the competition, the organisations are assessed by independent experts and ranked on the basis of the EFQM Excellence model. The assessment areas cover all operations of the organisation as well as the results it has achieved.
Comprehensive process maintenance
Founded in 1997, Oy Botnia Mill Service Ab is a forest and process industry maintenance and planning expert company owned by Metsä Fibre Oy and Caverion Corporation. BMS is a business unit of Caverion Corporation. From 2007, the company has been responsible for the comprehensive process maintenance of all Metsä Fibre’s mills in Finland. Its strong competence in the maintenance sector and corporate culture are based on Caverion’s advanced business concepts and strategic partnerships with customers.
Systematic devolopment

In its assessment, the external assessment group regarded a customer-oriented strategy, extensive involvement of personnel in strategy work and consistent management as Botnia Mill Service’s most important strengths. In particular, the openness of the corporate culture and policies involving the personnel were highlighted in the written and verbal feedback provided by the assessment group.
